About the Vendor

Hello Friends! I wanted to take some time to introduce myself. I am Hayley Lewis, also known as Mrs. Lewis. Teaching is my passion and has been my dream job since I was in 3rd grade. I have only ever worked with kids. It started with babysitting. Then, I moved to being an “8 and Under” swim coach for 60+ swimmers when I was in high school. From there, I went to college to earn my BA in Elementary Education with an emphasis in mathematics. While earning my degree, I worked as a summer school teacher when I returned home in the summers. In 2017, after I graduated from GCU in December of 2016, I became a reading tutor for 4th-5th graders while I applied for teaching positions for the 2017-2018 school year. I ended up landing my first ever job as a 4th grade teacher, and taught that grade for four years. From there, I moved schools and taught 5th grade for two years. I am taking a hiatus from the classroom due to having a baby in March of 2023. Therefore, I am currently a 1st-5th grade reading tutor at an elementary school. Even though it is full time, I have time to spend time with my own kiddo in the evenings. So, that is me in a nutshell. A former teacher, and a new mom with a desire to one day run a tutoring business that allows her to still make a difference in students’ lives while having the flexibility to be present for her son.
